Wilderness First Aid

training through NOLS. This is a 16- to 20-hour course that teaches a wide array of skills ranging from patient assessment to dealing with shock, anaphylactic reactions and wound care in the back country. The course will be available mid-August 2016.  If you are interested in taking this course, please contact Karen Smith.  This course is open to the public and will require a registration fee.

Field safety equipment available on loan from EH&S:

EH&S currently stocks safety kits that include emergency resources such as a GPS beacon, a meal ready-to-eat (MRE), a hand-crank flashlight/radio/charger and an emergency blanket.
